Bio

Is a self-taught artist, born in 1998 in the rural town of Estcourt, KwaZulu-Natal, and currently based in Cape Town.

Following the passing of his mother in 2002, he and his siblings relocated to Zimbabwe, where he spent much of his formative years. This period was marked by significant personal hardship and adversity, experiences that would later shape both his perspective and artistic voice. It was within these circumstances that his creative instinct began to emerge—not only as a means of expression, but as a tool for processing, healing, and making sense of his environment. Using materials that were accessible to him at the time, he began to document his experiences and reflect on his journey.

He completed his matric in 2017 and went on to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management at the University of Johannesburg, graduating in record time. His decision to study business was intentional—aimed at equipping himself with the knowledge and structure required to transform his artistic talent into a sustainable career and enterprise.

Thereafter, he further developed his technical practice at Artist Proof Studio, where he refined his skills and deepened his engagement with printmaking as a medium.

His work is rooted in personal narrative, often reflecting themes of resilience, identity, and transformation. Through both material and subject matter, he seeks to bridge lived experience with broader social commentary. His practice continues to evolve, underpinned by a commitment to developing a distinct visual language and contributing meaningfully to the contemporary visual arts landscape
